About us

We started with a pen pot!
I have always been saving material and experimenting how it can be reused, remade and recycled into new useable items. This pen pot is made with my son's pjyamas and has been used in the house for at least 10 years now!

I started making more and more items and gradually built up a range to sell. The fair trade items we buy in originally started becuase back in the origins of fair trade, often these items were also recycled out of juice cartons, sari silks and any other material that was available. Keepers Makers still buy in beautiful items from fair trade suppliers because we continue to support the work of the suppliers. And also we can't resist the luxurious textiles, dazzling patterns and stunning colours!
